Testing in the sun

The Works Team headed by Radical co-founder Phil Abbott, carried out an extensive test session on Sunday and Monday at the Portuguese circuit of Estoril.

A new SR3 Supersport, SR5 Endurosport, SR8 Supersport and SR8LM were shaken down and subjected to two days of continuous running.  The two-day test session was organised by Dunlop, at which key customers are invited to test their cars and help Dunlop in their tyre development programme.

Many new chassis and engine components were tested during the two days as part of Radicals on-going performance and reliability programme.

Henry Surtees, son of racing legend John Surtees, and Nigel Greensall carried out most of the driving duties, ably assisted the Radical team of Phil Abbott, Rob Wheldon and Roger Bromiley.
