Radical Finishes 2009 On A High Note
18th December 2009
December has been a great month for Radical sales, with confirmed orders received for 26 new sportscars.
Radical Czech & Slovak Republics has sold ten left-hand-drive SR4s for a new Czech & Slovak Radical one-make series, and is confident of selling a further ten SR4s into Hungary during January.
Following a well-received attendance at the Bologna Motorshow, and participation in the Supermasters sprint at Sarno, Southern Italy, Autosport Sorrento have ordered three SR4s and one SR3 to run in the Italian Radical Trophy. Fifteen Radicals participated in the Supermasters event at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, more than any other sportscar manufacturer, taking the E2B-3000, E2B-1600, E2B-1300 and SPS class wins.
Radical Switzerland are on a roll with an SR8 on order for delivery early next year; Radical Netherlands have ordered the thrid of what is expected to be a 20-car order for the new Radical Netherlands Cup. Both coasts of the USA have ordered cars, whilst a brace of SR3s, SR8s and a PR6 have been sold in the UK, swelling the grids of the Quaife Radical Clubman's Cup and the Radical UK Cup, alongside an order for a road-legal SR8 LM.
Radicals’s Sales Director, Nick Dove is in bouyant mood: “I set myself the target of 20 cars in December, and we are already up to 25. Our used cars are also being snapped up. We have just signed up a new distributor in Canada and are in discussions with several more. We are also particularly pleased with the efforts of Autosport Sorrento, who have created yet another series for Radical from their sheer hard work and focus in Italy.
“With new race series’ launching next year in Australia, Eastern Europe, Holland and Mexico, and most of our sixteen distributors in an optimistic mood, 2010 looks set to be a great year for Radical.”
Radical will be exhibiting five cars on its stand (2600) at Autosport International, held on 14-17 January at the NEC, Birmingham. Star of the show will be the SR8 LM that lowered the Nürburgring Nordschleife production car lap record earlier this year.
