Record Radical Grid For Silverstone Spectacular

Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters, and Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup, have assembled an amazing 50 cars at Silverstone this weekend, forming the thrilling final round for the 2010 UK Cup.
Drivers from all around the world have descended on the home of the British GP, to battle not only for UK overall and class honours, but also for points during the penultimate round of the 2010 Radical Masters.
The Radical SR8, SR8LM, SR3 RS, SR5 and PR6 are all represented, a great showcase for Radical’s diverse product line-up. The Radical SR9 LMP2 car will also be in action this weekend, run by Race Performance in the Silverstone 1000KM running as part of the weekend’s racing.
Several drivers are out in new machinery for the first time. Swedish driver Robert Enestedt’s SR8 was completed only a few days ago, but already the former PR6 driver is settling in well, setting low 2:15 lap times around the Arena layout. Another new SR8 driver is David Jacobs, a newcomer to Radical racing who tastes European competition for the first time this weekend.
The first and second practice sessions took place earlier today, with Bell End Racing’s Jamie Patterson setting pace, a lap time of 2m 01.558s. Slim Racing’s Christian Kronegard is second fastest, with 360 Racing’s pairing of Terrence Woodward and Ross Kaiser third. Fastest Supersports Class car is currently the SR3 RS of Andrea Fausti and Marco Cencetti, a fastest time of 2m 07.973s Qualifying commences at 15:35; more news to follow.
